TFP delivers new lectures remotely to KOCCA's Format Lab 2020
November 2020: The Format People were pleased to recommence format training this month in South Korea, under the auspices of KOCCA - the Korean Creative Content Agency.
The Format People have been working with our friends at KOCCA since 2011 to train producers, directors and other creatives in the art and business of television formatting, and we are delighted that so many of the people who have trained with us in the past are now creating and producing wonderful unscripted programming that is watched, applauded, and of course adapted, across the world.
And though COVID 19 has curtailed the regular visits of our consultants to Seoul, we have been able to continue with recorded lectures, superbly organised by CR Media, and presented 'as live' to delegates gathered under carefully controlled conditions.
This month, young creators In Seoul viewed two lectures delivered by Justin Scroggie, CCO & Partner of The Format People, HOW TO TURN GOOD IDEAS INTO GREAT FORMATS, and THE DNA OF INTERNATIONAL FORMATS. The response was very positive:
"All of us who watched the video learned about the new direction of ideas in consideration of the global format market. We believe it was an excellent guide for the creators who are just beginning their journey in program development. Thank you once more for both your reference video and explanations, which were interesting and useful."
